  1. Swasti Vachan & Sankalp (Auspicious Invocation & Resolve)
    – Seek blessings from the deities and declare the intention to perform Pitru Puja.

  2. Ganesh Puja & Purification Rituals
    – Invocation of Lord Ganesha for obstacle-free rituals, and purifying oneself and the space.

  3. Kalash Sthapana (Installation of Sacred Pot)
    – Setting up the Kalash (symbolizing divine presence) with water, mango leaves, and coconut.

  4. Tarpan & Pind Daan (Offering to Ancestors)
    – Offering water mixed with sesame seeds, barley, and kusha grass, followed by rice balls (pindas) offered with prayers for ancestors’ souls.

  5. Shraddha Rituals
    – Feeding Brahmins and offering food to crows, cows, and dogs, believed to be carriers of ancestral blessings.

  6. Pitru Havan (Sacred Fire Ritual)
    – Special havan is performed, offering ghee, til (sesame), and grains to Agni (fire god) for the ancestors’ liberation.

  7. Purnahuti (Final Offering)
    – Concluding the havan with the final offering for the satisfaction and blessing of Pitru Devtas.

  8. Pitru Aarti & Prasad Distribution
    – Offering Aarti to ancestors and distributing Prasad to family members and Brahmins.
